FAQ

What's the difference between the Alien 150C and 300C?

The Alien 300C is nearly double the size and output of the 150C — 28,630 lux vs 13,050 lux at 1 meter. The 300C supports dual V-Mount batteries and 48V external power, while the 150C uses a single V-Mount or 24V source. Both share the same full-color RGBWW engine, IP55 weather resistance, control options, and pop-up softbox design.

How is the Alien different from PavoSlim?

Both are LED panel lights, but the Alien is designed for maximum output and all-weather durability. It's significantly brighter than PavoSlim, features IP55 weather resistance for outdoor use, includes a pop-up softbox, and offers G/M adjustment for precise color matching on set. PavoSlim is thinner and lighter — ideal when slim profile and portability are the priority.

Can I use the Alien panels outdoors?

Yes. Both the Alien 150C and 300C are IP55 rated, meaning they're protected against dust and water spray. A rain cover is also included for the control unit. This makes them one of the few professional LED panels you can confidently use in unpredictable outdoor conditions.

Do I need to buy a softbox separately?

No. Every Alien panel includes a pop-up softbox that assembles in seconds — no separate modifier to carry or attach. It comes with dual-layer diffusion and an eggcrate grid for controlling spill, giving you soft, directional light right out of the case.

What power options do the Alien panels support?

Both models run continuously on AC power. The Alien 150C also supports a single V-Mount battery or 24V external source. The Alien 300C supports dual V-Mount batteries or 48V external power. Both models support hot-swapping between power sources without interruption.
