What should I do if I don't receive the verification code when registering?

Please check the following in order: 

1. Make sure your internet connection is working properly.
2. Confirm that your email address is entered correctly.
3. Check if the email was filtered into your spam folder.
4. Restart the app and try again.

Do I always need to reset Bluetooth when connecting the fixture to the app?

For first-time setup, a Bluetooth reset is usually required.
Under normal use, the fixture can reconnect without resetting Bluetooth, even after a long period of inactivity. However, if the fixture has been connected and used in another scene, a Bluetooth reset is required before connecting it in a new scene.

Why can't the fixture be added to a group via Bluetooth?

*Some fixtures can't be added to a group via Bluetooth. In this case, please use the WS-TB-1 Transmitter Box to add the fixtures to a group via 2.4G.

How to achieve serial or parallel lighting effects in a group?

1. Serial effects:
Lighting effects are displayed among the fixtures in sequence according to their address. This can be achieved by selecting Group Effect Mode or by setting Group Mode to Serial in *Pixel Effect Mode. 

2. Parallel effects:
All fixtures display the lighting effects simultaneously. This can be achieved by selecting Effect Mode in a group or by setting the Group Mode to Parallel in *Pixel Effect Mode.

*Pixel Effects are available on fixtures that support pixel functionality, such as PavoTube II X/XR and PavoTube T8-7X.

How to adjust an individual fixture in a group without resetting Bluetooth?

You can use either of the following methods:

1. Select Manage Group to temporarily remove or re-add individual fixtures (by checking or unchecking them). The fixtures will remain in the same scene.

2. Select Delete (select "Only delete the group") to move the fixtures back to the fixture list.

Which fixtures support firmware updates via the app?

What are the differences between FC-300B/500B and Forza 300B II/500B II?

  1. Appearance: FC-300B/500B feature a more stylish design, while Forza 300B II/500B II feature a more understated and composed design.
  2. Functionality: Forza 300B II/500B II support G/M adjustment, while FC-300B/500B do not.
  3. Structure: FC-300B/500B integrate the lamp head and control unit, with a separate power supply. Forza 300B II/500B II have a separate control unit.
  4. Power Options: Forza 300B II/500B II support multiple battery power options, while FC-300B/500B require the optional FC PowerController when using battery power.
  5. Control Methods: Both FC-300B/500B and Forza 300B II/500B II can be controlled via the Nanlink App and DMX/RDM.
  6. Positioning & Price: Forza 300B II/500B II are positioned for mid-to-high-end professional users with higher performance requirements and budgets. FC-300B/500B offer a more accessible and cost-effective solution.

What are the differences between the FC-300B and the FS-300B?

  1. Appearance: FC-300B features a more stylish design, while FS-300B features a simpler and more understated design.
  2. Structure: FC-300B integrates the lamp head and control unit, with a separate power supply. FS-300B features an all-in-one design, making it easy to operate and move.
  3. Power Options: FS-300B only supports AC power, while FC-300B also supports battery power via the optional FC PowerController.
  4. Control Methods: FS-300B can be controlled on-board, via Nanlink App and remote controller. FC-300B supports all of the above, and additionally supports DMX/RDM.
  5. Configuration: FC-300B comes with a carry case, making location shoots easier.
  6. Positioning & Price: Both FS-300B and FC-300B are high cost-effective. Compared with FC-300B, FS-300B is more budget-friendly.

What are the mount types for the FC series?

  • FM Mount: FC‑60B/120B/120C
  • Bowens Mount: FC‑300B/500B/500C/720B/720C

Can Bowens mount accessories be used on Nanlite FM mount fixtures?

Yes. FM mount fixtures include the AS-BA-FMM Bowens Adapter, which allows Bowens-mount accessories to be used on FM-mount fixtures.

Forza Series

Is FL-20G compatible with Forza 720/720B?

Not recommended. The FL-20G is only compatible with the Bowens mount fixtures up to 500W.

Does the Forza series have longer DC connection cables?

For Forza 300 II/300B II/500 II/500B II/720/720B, optional CB-FZ-7.5M and CB-FZ-12M DC connection cables are available.

What are the mount types for the Forza series?

  • FM Mount: Forza 60 II/60B II/60C/60CR
  • Bowens Mount: Forza 200/300 II/300B II/500 II/500B II/720/720B

FS Series

What are the mount types for the FS series?

  • FM Mount: FS‑60B
  • Bowens Mount: FS‑150B/200B/300B/300C

Evoke 5C

Why is there condensation on the display after the Evoke 5C has been running?

Condensation in the Evoke 5C is caused by differences in humidity between the inside and outside of the fixture. Open the Type-C port cover and run the Evoke 5C for a while to allow the moisture to escape.

Can I update the fixtures and accessories together when updating the Evoke 5C 8KIT case firmware?

No. The case firmware is only for the Evoke 5C 8KIT case. The fixtures and accessories need to be updated separately.

How do I update the firmware of the Battery Grip BT-BG-EV5C and CRMX Module WS-MCR-EV5C?

  1. WS-MCR-EV5C CRMX Module：via the fixture:
    Menu → Fixture Settings → CRMX Module → Firmware Update
  2. BT-BG-EV5C Battery Grip: via the fixture:
    Menu → Fixture Settings → Battery Grip → Firmware Update

Does the Evoke 5C support DMX control?

Yes. The USB-C to DMX Adapter Cable CB-DMX-USBC-1/3 III is required.

What should I do if I can't update the firmware of the battery grip BT-BG-EV5C?

BT-BG-EV5C battery grips that can't update the firmware are the old version. To upgrade to the new version, the control board needs to be replaced. After replacement, customers will be able to update the firmware by themselves.

Remote Control

How to set the remote control for our fixtures?

Now most of our fixtures built-in 2.4Ghz receiver, enabling them to be remotely controlled by remote controller or by APP via the 2.4G transfer device. (Note: 2.4G WS-RC-C2 remote controller or 2.4 transfer device sold separately.)

How to reset the Bluetooth, is it different for different light fixtures?

Yes, you will need to press buttons or knobs for different light fixtures. Take PavoTube II X-Series light for example: press SWITCH until you are at BT:RESET, then press "+", and "SWITCH", and press "+" again to make the Bluetooth reset.

Is PavoTube II 6C compatible with existed PavoTube Accessories?

Yes, PavoTube II 6C can fit in all the PavoTube accessories except Barndoors.

Others

If a fixture is damaged after I receive it, what do I do?

Please do not use it and contact place of purchase or Nanlite as soon as possible.

The difference and connection between GROUP EFFECT and PIXEL EFFECT?

GROUP EFFECT means to control effect based on group and PIXEL EFFECT is based on pixel. Only those light fixtures with pixels have pixel effect. If through Bluetooth connection, only the same model of light fixtures could be composed a group, and to achieve group effect. If through 2.4G connection, the group will be sorted out by single-color, bi-color, full-color G/M adjustable and full-color no G/M function light fixtures, and to achieve group effect.
