FAQ

What's the difference between the FS Series and the FC Series?

The FS Series are true monolights — the power supply, control unit, and lamp are all built into one body, so you just plug in an AC cable and go. The FC Series uses a separate external power supply but offers battery and USB-C power options. Choose FS if you work primarily in a studio, or FC if you need portable power.

Can the FS Series run on battery power?

No. The FS Series is designed for studio use and requires AC power. If you need battery-powered spotlights, check out the FC-120B or FC-120C, which support V-Mount batteries and USB powerbanks.

Which FS Series light is best for YouTube and streaming?

The FS-300B is our most popular choice for YouTube creators and streamers. It delivers bright, accurate bi-color output from 2700K to 6500K with simple plug-and-play setup. If you want RGB color for creative backgrounds or effects, the FS-300C adds full-color capability.

What modifiers work with the FS Series?

All FS Series lights use a Bowens mount, which is compatible with a massive range of softboxes, reflectors, Fresnels, and projection attachments. A 45-degree reflector is included, and every model has a built-in umbrella holder.

Is the FS Series quiet enough for video production?

Yes. The FS Series features a smart cooling system with multiple fan modes, including a low-speed and off mode for sound-sensitive shoots. The fan won't interfere with on-set audio when using microphones.

What's the difference between the FS-300B and FS-300C?

The FS-300B is bi-color, adjusting between warm and cool white (2700K–6500K). The FS-300C adds full RGBW color with 36,000 color options and a wider CCT range of 2700K–7500K. Both deliver similar brightness and share the same build quality.
