FRANKLIN KNOX

**Headline: A good value for the money.**

I bought two FC-500Cs because I wanted to add controlled color to my dance photography. I normally work with strobes, a Nanlight Forza, and Arri hot lights so there was more of a learning curve than I expected.

Getting the color, exposure and white balance where I wanted them took some figuring out during my light test. I got good results during a session a day later.

I used the FC-500C primarily to light the backgrounds while lighting the dancer with the Forza, but also used the FC-500C with a fresnel with good results. It produced strong, saturated color and gave me enough output to do what I wanted. The photographs attached to this review are from the first shoot.

The controls are capable, although they are not immediately intuitive, and I am still learning what these lights can do. They will not replace my strobes for much of my work. They do give me options I did not have before, particularly for controlled color.

I own two of them now. At the price, I think they are a good value.
